About the job
At Neara, we are pioneering the future of energy resilience by harnessing advanced machine learning technologies. Imagine having the capability to test an entire power grid against the fury of a hurricane before the storm even approaches. This vision is a reality we are making possible.
We specialize in creating engineering-grade, physics-enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, enabling asset owners to tackle their most significant challenges and implement effective solutions over vast infrastructures.
Through simulations of extreme weather events and structural stress at a network-wide scale, we empower the world’s largest utilities to identify risks, optimize investments, and contribute to a more robust global energy future.
Our team is a collective of innovative minds dedicated to making a real-world impact, utilizing AI and machine learning to enhance everything from data classification to intricate scenario analysis. We have cultivated a unique culture where innovation thrives, and every team member takes ownership of our mission. We seek intelligent, creative individuals to help us expand our influence across the globe.
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will design and develop machine learning models that facilitate the digitization of real-world infrastructure, leveraging diverse data sources including LIDAR, imagery, and vector data. You will engage in every phase of the ML lifecycle, from data collection and quality assurance to model training and monitoring. Your role will involve deep data analysis to identify valuable problems to solve with machine learning and establishing strategies for those solutions.
You will remain abreast of best practices in data management and MLOps, integrating the latest advancements in machine learning into our platform to keep it at the forefront of the industry. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment that fosters continuous learning and growth.
At Neara, we value your insights, support your professional development, and celebrate your successes. If you are driven and results-oriented, we would love to connect with you.
Your Contributions Will Include:
Creating methodologies to accurately generate electric networks from imperfect data using deep learning and traditional ML techniques.
Developing and refining training pipelines to minimize manual effort and expedite the idea-to-evaluation process.
Scaling model deployment for various problems with distinct characteristics while shortening the time to production.
