QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. A minimum of 9 years of product design experience in high-end consumer electronics. Proficient in Creo or similar 3D CAD software. Expertise in designing plastic injection molded parts, stamped metal components, die-cast items, and machined parts. Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer II at Axon, you will have complete design ownership over next-generation life-saving technologies, from conception to production, with your work being highly visible to senior leadership. Your collaborative efforts with product managers, electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing teams are essential for the team’s success and for ensuring public safety for generations to come.

Key Responsibilities

Location: Scottsdale, AZ [Relocation Assistance Available]

  • Lead innovative product development from initial concept through to manufacturing.
  • Employ creative problem-solving skills to drive the ideation of new product architectural concepts for subsystem and system-level designs.
  • Build and analyze high-fidelity proof-of-concept prototypes.
  • Conduct detailed mechanical analyses to ensure proper functionality through FEA, tolerance analysis, testing, and other investigatory methods.
  • Engage regularly with both domestic and international stakeholders.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, empowering environment.
