Qualifications:A university degree in IT or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in IT. At least 7 years of experience in enterprise IT operations, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior operational role managing complex, cross-system incidents and problem investigations. Strong expertise in supporting containerized and cloud-native production environments. Extensive experience with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, and Capacity Management. Proficient in Linux/Unix systems, container orchestration, and CI/CD integration (GitHub, SonarQube, Git). Experience in automation and scripting for operational tasks. Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Red Hat OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift Container Platform, Helm, and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch. Experience with the operation and optimization of middleware and integration technologies including API gateways, messaging, event-streaming, data transformation, and identity-management platforms. Ability to perform capacity planning, performance trend analysis, and operational risk assessments. Strong understanding of observability, logging, and performance-monitoring tools. Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills, with a proven ability to lead technical discussions.

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Operations Support Engineer at European Dynamics, located in the picturesque city of Strasbourg, France. This role offers a unique opportunity for an expert to provide their services either on-site at customer locations or within our company premises. The successful candidate will be integrated into our Development team, collaborating closely with a major client’s IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-severity and intricate incidents across interconnected systems, ensuring prompt resolution and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Lead technical investigations, root-cause analyses, and post-incident reviews, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and enhance monitoring strategies, establish performance baselines, and optimize observability for proactive issue detection.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance initiatives and optimize operational environments, ensuring adherence to operational and security standards.
  • Validate deployment plans, rollback processes, and testing strategies in collaboration with DevSecOps and Database Administration teams.
