Ability to critically assess information and data from various sources to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on factual analysis. Proficient in MS Office Suite and Primavera P6.Commitment to delivering exceptional service. Dependable and capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team. About the job

As a seasoned Project Controls Professional specializing in Defence, you will play a pivotal role in establishing essential processes, templates, and tools. You will set the baseline for cost and schedule, diligently monitoring performance while managing the impacts of risks, opportunities, and changes in a structured manner. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing trends and identifying root causes of deviations from the baseline using lead and lag indicators, while recommending corrective actions to maximize client value.
  • Leading the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying necessary governance controls to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborating with a remote team of cost managers to achieve an agreed market-tested cost baseline, ensuring the client receives optimal value for their investment.
  • Guiding and influencing the general contractor to ensure alignment with the project schedule and adherence to cash flow parameters.
  • Serving as the primary contact for the client, addressing delivery and commercial issues while preparing comprehensive formal and ad hoc reports focused on time, cost, and quality benchmarks.
  • Utilizing your expertise in conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, and procurement principles to control project costs.
  • Creating and managing cost reports, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
  • Leading the change management process, ensuring a platform for tracking, monitoring, and approving changes.
  • Coordinating and facilitating planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to develop the master project/program schedule, establishing baselines and critical paths.
  • Understanding procurement principles and integrating vendor lead times into the master schedule, effectively communicating material and equipment prioritization to meet installation deadlines.
  • Working closely with the client to clarify vendor schedule requirements.
  • Actively participating in project risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to quantify their impacts on overall project cost and schedule.
  • Maintaining close communication with the project team to stay updated on project changes, facilitating approvals within the change management framework.
  • Holding vendors accountable for required schedule updates to ensure timely and accurate maintenance of the master schedule, adhering to defined processes and quality standards.
