The ideal candidate will possess:A degree qualification (BSc or MSc) in Project Management or a related field in construction or engineering. Strong knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contract suites. Professional accreditation, preferably with RICS, APM, CIOB, or an equivalent professional institution.

AECOM is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to enhance our dynamic team in Dublin. This pivotal leadership position involves overseeing complex projects within the infrastructure and aviation sectors.

The role demands a four-day on-site presence, with one day designated for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide the project coordination, ensuring all interfaces are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain the Responsible / Accountable / Consulted / Informed (RACI) task tracker.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to manage design consultants and external service providers effectively.
  • Organize design review meetings and ensure design acceptance is communicated to the Contractor.
  • Communicate design changes to impacted project team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide monthly reports on project tasks, including construction activities during the construction phase.
  • Manage the project risk register and update it during monthly progress meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Project Management procedures and propose ideas to the relevant line manager.
  • Implement performance management techniques.
  • Oversee the change control process.
  • Facilitate the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communication.

NEC Specific Activities

  • Review and approve program submissions.
  • Foster mutual trust and cooperation.
  • Issue documents as mandated by the ECC and fulfill other contractual duties.
  • Act as the Project Manager for the Contracting Entity’s contract, maintaining close communication with the Client to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Manage the compensation event process to ensure fair compensation for changes initiated by the Contracting Entity.
  • Ensure timely notifications of compensation events by the Contractor to avoid disadvantages for the Contracting Entity.
  • Assess payments at each interval of assessment.
