Strong analytical skills for market research and category analysis.

The Senior Sales Manager - Global Sponsorship Development focuses on driving revenue through the creation and sale of integrated marketing partnerships for the NFL worldwide. This role sits within the Business Development team and works to expand the NFL’s reach through new sponsorships and innovative collaborations.

Collaboration is central to this position. The Senior Sales Manager works across NFL departments to identify and develop partnerships that support key initiatives, including NFL FLAG, international market growth, youth and multicultural audience engagement, women’s programming, and advancements in gameplay.

Employment Details

Important: This position is with one of the NFL’s external agency partners. The selected candidate will be employed by the agency, not directly by the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and employment terms are managed by the agency. Assignment length may vary, with the possibility of extension if both the NFL and the agency agree.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a global pipeline of partnership opportunities to meet sponsorship revenue goals.
  • Research and analyze market categories to identify and cultivate prospects, especially in international regions without dedicated resources.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, including Fortune 500 executives and leaders in sports marketing.
  • Engage new prospects using strategic outreach, craft persuasive sales presentations, negotiate agreements, and oversee contract execution.
  • Contribute fresh ideas and strategies to uncover new sponsorship revenue streams, working with cross-functional teams to develop marketing platforms that match partner objectives.
  • Develop and deliver tailored, strategic proposals and partnership presentations.
  • Keep sales pipeline documentation organized and handle other duties as assigned.
  • Support sponsorship business development efforts of the Senior Coordinator, in partnership with the Senior Director.
