QualificationsB. Tech/M. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. Extensive hands-on experience with Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis for high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and power-dense designs, utilizing best practices for schematic design, PCB layout, stack-up definition, decoupling strategies, and grounding. In-depth expertise in embedded hardware design, including MCU-based systems, motor control circuits, and power electronics. Demonstrated success in delivering embedded hardware designs from concept through to production. Preferred QualificationsExperience in supporting embedded development platforms or reference designs that have achieved broad customer adoption. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and Global Market Access (GMA) requirements for global automotive markets.

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will take on a pivotal role in leading the hardware development for the RH850 Motor Control and Automotive Application Platform. This position emphasizes technical leadership, ensuring high standards in architecture, design quality, and execution, while fostering collaboration with systems, firmware/software, validation, and platform leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer the hardware architecture, design, and implementation processes for the RH850 motor control and automotive application platforms.
  • Make informed hardware technical decisions that guarantee robustness, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with platform specifications.
  • Oversee the entire hardware execution lifecycle from concept to design, validation, qualification, and production readiness.
  • Work closely with systems, firmware/software, validation, and product engineering teams to facilitate smooth hardware-software integration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Global Market Access (GMA) readiness for hardware deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and alleviate hardware-related technical risks to ensure predictable execution and high quality.
  • Contribute to the development of reference designs, development platforms, and comprehensive documentation to promote widespread customer adoption.
  • Act as a technical mentor, advocating for best practices and elevating hardware design excellence.
