We are seeking a Senior Surface Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Silverstone facility. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with talented design engineers to create high-quality surface geometry models that facilitate the aerodynamic development of our race car. We strive for excellence in every facet of our operations and encourage team members to challenge conventional thinking and share innovative ideas.
- Produce complex surface geometry models for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel testing, and full-scale releases.
- Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists to define and scope new surfaces, including modeling and construction strategies.
- Coordinate with model designers to ensure the effective execution of aerodynamic projects.
- Assist in the release of aerodynamic surface geometry to the full-scale car design office.
- Work alongside full-scale car designers to develop high-quality surface geometry for production.
- Mentor junior team members and advocate for the advancement of methodologies and modeling techniques.
- Promote the adoption of standardized design practices.
