Saalex Solutions, Inc. is actively looking for a Senior Systems Administrator III based in Camarillo, California. With a strong emphasis on Engineering and Information Technology Services, Saalex specializes in Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Information Technology Services.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $55 hourly

Work Location: Fully onsite at Naval Air Station Point Mugu.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess system specifications, configure systems, establish standards, ensure compatibility of hardware/software, and maintain MS Windows Operating Systems for optimal performance.
  • Oversee daily operations of MS Windows server software, focusing on system security, access management, configuration, and backups.
  • Define network requirements, monitor LAN performance, troubleshoot hardware, and ensure systems operate according to defined specifications.
  • Organize and secure directory structures while assisting and training staff on the department's Document Management System and CM/DM release procedures.
  • Design and maintain functional, visually appealing web pages.
  • Provide end-user support and training on various software applications.
  • Research and identify hardware and software solutions for the LVC laboratory.
  • Specify hardware requirements and maintain a Computer Authorization and Custodial Receipt Listing (CA/CRL) to track equipment configurations and identification logs.
  • Conduct security scans and patch systems as needed.
  • Act as the point of contact for problem reporting, version updates, and monitoring yearly support contracts.
  • Recommend future hardware/software implementations and process improvements, including planning and executing system upgrades across various environments.
  • Provide operational status updates as required.
  • Utilize established policies and subject matter expertise to complete complex assignments with minimal supervision, exercising significant autonomy.
  • Collaborate with management initiatives, coordinating with other organizations affected by upgrades, capabilities, policies, and procedures.
