About the job

At PsiQuantum, we are driven by the ambition to create the world's first truly useful quantum computers, engineered to unlock the revolutionary advancements that the field has always promised. Since our inception in 2016, we have dedicated ourselves to the development and deployment of million-qubit, fault-tolerant quantum systems.

Quantum computing harnesses the principles of quantum mechanics to tackle challenges that even the most cutting-edge supercomputers and AI systems cannot solve. Its transformative potential spans a multitude of sectors, including energy, pharmaceuticals, finance, agriculture, transportation, materials, and other critical industries.

Our innovative architecture is grounded in silicon photonics, which leverages the advanced semiconductor manufacturing sector, partnering with leaders like GlobalFoundries, to utilize high-volume processes that already produce billions of chips for telecommunications and consumer electronics. The inherent benefits of photonics for scalability are undeniable: photons are unaffected by heat, immune to electromagnetic interference, and seamlessly integrate with existing cryogenic cooling and standard fiber-optic systems.

In 2024, PsiQuantum announced government-backed projects aimed at the establishment of our first utility-scale quantum computers in Brisbane, Australia, and Chicago, Illinois. These initiatives underscore the growing acknowledgment that quantum computing will be a defining factor in both strategic and economic arenas, and that now is the critical moment to scale our efforts.

Moreover, PsiQuantum is at the forefront of developing the necessary algorithms and software to ensure that these systems provide commercial value. Our application, software, and industry teams collaborate closely with top Fortune 500 companies, including Lockheed Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Mitsubishi Chemical, to ready quantum solutions for tangible real-world applications.

Quantum computing signifies more than just an extension of classical computing; it embodies a fundamental transformation, a pathway to mastering challenges that cannot be addressed through any other means. The possibilities are immense, and we have a definitive roadmap to make this vision a reality.

We invite you to join our journey.
