Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop tools and processes that facilitate rapid and accurate software development. Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the entire Starship software stack. Work collaboratively with counterpart teams to design, maintain, and continuously enhance a dedicated pool of on-premises computing resources. Identify improvement opportunities and devise innovative solutions that empower the software team to address all challenges faced by the Starship program as we create the world’s first fully reusable rocket and spacecraft. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Familiarity with Bazel or similar build systems. Proficiency in Python, C++, Rust, or Go. Experience in building tools and infrastructure that significantly impact daily operations for hundreds of engineers. Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and a desire to apply AI to enhance code quality, testing, and development workflows. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities based on first principles. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Able to thrive in a dynamic environment while assuming high levels of responsibility.

Join our dynamic Starship Continuous Integration team as a Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the tools that drive Starship software development, designing, maintaining, and scaling systems that empower hundreds of engineers to seamlessly integrate their changes and deliver robust software to all Starship vehicles and launch pads continuously. We seek individuals eager to collaborate closely with team members, identify significant challenges, and take ownership of innovative solutions from inception to implementation!
