Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Possession of Chargeman AO/A1/A4 or Wireman PW4 certification is advantageous. Must hold a CIDB Green Card and a valid Working at Height certificate prior to on-site work. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in rooftop solar, electrical installations, or construction projects. Familiarity with site safety standards, quality control, and documentation practices (MOS, HIRARC, PTW, QA/QC). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Proven experience in effectively managing subcontractors and small teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and documentation purposes. Demonstrates responsibility, proactivity, and a strong commitment to safety. Exhibits strong leadership and communication skills. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to adapt to changing project schedules and requirements. Possesses own transportation and is available for travel or extended stays at project sites as needed.

About the job

  • Oversee and manage on-site operations to ensure adherence to approved designs, safety protocols, and operational methodologies.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and clients to strategize daily tasks, monitor progress, and swiftly address any challenges that arise on-site.
  • Conduct site assessments, hold pre-work briefings, and lead toolbox talks to ensure compliance with HIRARC, MOS, PTW, and other safety regulations.
  • Confirm site readiness, availability of materials, and allocation of manpower before work initiation.
  • Evaluate workmanship quality and ensure that tasks are completed within the designated timeline and budget.
  • Maintain daily records of site activities, including progress updates, workforce attendance, material consumption, and equipment usage.
  • Inspect all tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition and utilized correctly.
  • Assist in site testing, commissioning, and final inspections in conjunction with client representatives.
  • Promptly report site-related issues, incidents, or near misses and support the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Oversee site demobilization and handover processes upon project completion.
