The Solutions Engineer Team
Our Solutions Engineers are integral to every phase of our customers' digital transformation journeys. They excel in utilizing various communication methods, presentations, emails, phone calls, and social media, to engage with customers both virtually and face-to-face. We are in search of proactive team players who can create and deliver compelling sales presentations and tailored product demonstrations that guide Okta’s customers, from developers to product managers to executives, through best practices in their cloud security technology journeys. Our Solutions Engineers possess a rare blend of technical expertise and business insight, allowing them to keenly understand customer needs by asking insightful questions and delivering solutions that meet those needs. As a Solutions Engineer at Okta, you will enhance these skills while advising a diverse array of customers on the benefits of our Identity Platform.
The Solutions Engineer Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering, you will serve as a strategic business consultant, collaborating closely with Commercial Account Executives. Your passion for technology will empower you to develop, position, and demonstrate product-specific solutions throughout the sales cycle, all while meeting quarterly and annual sales objectives for your designated territory.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with the Corporate/Expansion sales team (employee size 300-1249) as the technical and domain expert, helping customers recognize the value of Okta’s solutions.
- Identify customer challenges and business needs, providing product demonstrations that align our solutions with those needs.
- Field product feature and technical inquiries from customers, partners, and Okta team members.
- Plan and execute Proof of Concepts for customers with complex use cases, working alongside other Okta engineering teams as necessary.
