Qualifications

Perform in-depth thermal analysis of the aircraft airframe, accounting for variables such as external heating, solar radiation, internal heat sources, and insulation. Develop and implement thermal management strategies for composite structures in the airframe to alleviate thermal stress, manage material temperature thresholds, and ensure structural integrity. Design and enhance cooling systems (including forced/natural convection, heat pipes, liquid cooling, etc.) for various aircraft systems and line-replaceable units (LRUs), such as actuators, flight control systems, avionics, and electrical distribution, to guarantee operation within specified temperature limits aligned with vehicle design specifications. Conduct parametric studies and sensitivity analyses to optimize thermal design for both aircraft structure and vehicle systems. Create, refine, and utilize advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) models to simulate intricate thermal scenarios and validate design assumptions. Assist in planning and executing test campaigns at the component, system, and aircraft levels to gather data for correlating and validating thermal models. Collaborate closely with teams in Aerodynamics, Airframe, Flight Control, Actuation, Avionics, Propulsion, Battery, and Manufacturing to devise and integrate thermal solutions, addressing interdependencies. Engage in design reviews, document analytical results, propose design recommendations, and contribute to technical reports.
