Meet the Team:
Our Systems team at Glydways is dedicated to designing and validating complex functional, logical, hardware, and software systems. We collaborate across autonomy, vehicle hardware, safety, infrastructure, and operations to ensure the Glydways system is safe, dependable, and delivers an excellent user experience. Positioned at the intersection of product vision and engineering execution, we are responsible for system requirements, safety function architecture, vehicle specifications, and infrastructure guidelines.
Role Overview:
We are in search of a Systems Engineer who will bring clarity, rigor, and technical expertise to our rapidly evolving transportation program. This role is ideal for an individual who can transform vague, open-ended inquiries, How do we establish ground truth? How closely can the vehicles operate together? What constitutes comfortable braking? What does comfortable mean?, into precise, testable requirements.
The perfect candidate thrives in uncertain situations, identifies the right questions, and leverages cross-disciplinary knowledge to develop solutions. We are looking for someone with experience in delivering tangible products, who understands the trade-offs in design engineering, and is eager to elevate standards through strong requirements documentation, Jama discipline, FTA/FMEA rigor, and verification design.
Please note this is NOT a DevOps role.
Responsibilities:
- Become a subject matter expert in the Glydways system and disseminate that knowledge throughout the organization.
- Decompose complex systems into manageable components for testing and validation.
