Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, or a related field. A minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience, with a proven track record in off-planet systems, lunar environments, materials, and/or space robotic systems.

About the job

As the Technical Director for Off-Planet Systems and Space Robotics at ICON, you will take charge of pioneering initiatives in off-planet robotics, construction, and materials across diverse domains including hardware, electrical systems, software, material science, research and development (R&D), and operations. This role is not just strategic but also heavily execution-focused, requiring close collaboration with program management, executive leadership, and external partners to expand ICON's capabilities in space robotics and extraterrestrial construction.

You will be instrumental in defining the long-term technical vision, infrastructure, and execution strategies for ICON’s off-planet programs, propelling innovation, operational excellence, and sustained market leadership in autonomous construction beyond Earth.
