Role Overview: Veterinary Nursing Manager

The Veterinary Nursing Manager leads with empathy and a collaborative spirit, shaping a culture where team members feel supported and take pride in their work. This leadership position focuses on maintaining high standards in patient care while promoting an environment where VEGgies can grow and succeed.

The role involves working closely with hospital leadership to create a positive emergency experience for the team, clients, and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for the nursing team, providing the tools and support needed for success.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Address patient care concerns and team dynamics with openness and empathy.
  • Work with hospital leadership and shift leads to meet shared goals and ensure smooth hospital operations.
  • Incorporate veterinarian feedback to guide team development and uphold medical standards.
  • Demonstrate VEG values, including openness, teamwork, and compassionate support.
  • Encourage continuous learning through in-house training, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with licensure, performance standards, and organizational policies.
