Role Overview: 3rd Shift Resource
Location: Onsite at Oxford, North Carolina. This role requires full-time presence at the facility.
The 3rd Shift Resource provides oversight to manufacturing operations teams during third shift hours, stepping in when a supervisor is not present. This position covers filling and assembly associates, mechanics, or processors within an assigned business unit.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan staffing needs and make assignments for the shift
- Coordinate materials to support production
- Follow production schedules closely
- Ensure all quality standards are met
- Guide associates to maintain productivity and engagement
- Make sure associates have access to training, resources, and materials needed for safety, quality, and financial targets
People Leadership and Shift Operations
- Assign associates to work areas or lines as needed, balancing full-time and temporary staff
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with plant safety rules and GMP guidelines
- Communicate shift handoff information to associates and peers
- Monitor activities within the business unit to ensure alignment with departmental goals and policies
- Check that all equipment is functioning and performing as expected
