About the Apprenticeship:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated school or college leaver to embark on a rewarding career in the accounting sector through an AAT Level 3 apprenticeship.

Duration: 18 months

Role Overview:

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Total: 37.5 hours per week)

Your Responsibilities:

In this role, you will provide essential accounting and business support services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. Working under the supervision of a senior accountant, you will report directly to the partner and senior team members, contributing to the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services.

The primary duties include:

  • Posting trial balances into accounting software.
  • Analyzing bank statements and preparing cash books in Excel.
  • Completing working papers for accounts files in Excel.
  • Applying accounting principles effectively.
  • Identifying and resolving client queries.
  • Posting accounting journals and disclosure data into accounting software.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations.
  • Preparing accounts files for meetings.
  • Completing files for signing packs.
  • Performing bookkeeping using accounting software.
  • Preparing payroll reports.
  • Assisting with ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax, and Self-Assessment returns to HMRC.

Training Provided:

  • Comprehensive AAT Level 3 Accounting qualification.
  • Training delivered online, with a blend of self-paced eLearning and live classes.
  • Functional skills training in English and Mathematics, if required.

Career Prospects:

As part of the firm’s ongoing expansion, you will be encouraged to advance within the company while completing your AAT/ACA qualification. There may also be opportunities for further study after completing the AAT qualification.
