Your Role
We are excited to welcome Android Engineers to our Growth teams, focusing on both Seller and Buyer Growth at Whatnot.
The Seller Growth Engineering team is dedicated to helping sellers convert their hobbies into successful enterprises by building intuitive tools and systems for onboarding and scaling their businesses on the platform.
Buyer Growth is essential for Whatnot’s top-of-funnel success, emphasizing user acquisition, activation, retention, and re-engagement. This team collaborates closely with Product, Data, Design, and Marketing to seamlessly integrate new users into our ecosystem and foster loyalty.
As an Android Engineer on the Growth team, you will create and enhance mobile experiences that are foundational to both seller and buyer engagement, focusing on scalability and trust. Your contributions will directly influence how thousands of new users find, start, and thrive on Whatnot every week.
Build high-quality Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose that enhance seller onboarding, verification, and incentive processes.
Work collaboratively with product, design, and backend teams to establish goals, define project scopes, and navigate technical challenges.
Collaborate with data science teams to design and analyze experiments that inform product decisions.
