SUMMARY:

The Assistant Chief Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of building systems while leading the engineering team. This position directly supports the Chief Engineer in daily operations and is entrusted with maintaining critical systems in compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Planning, scheduling, and supervising all preventative maintenance activities.
Collaborating with contractors, vendors, and building personnel.
Addressing tenant requests and resolving issues promptly.
Reviewing alterations to ensure compliance with design criteria.
Maintaining comprehensive records of building plans, equipment specifications, and operating manuals.
Providing hands-on service and maintenance for building systems.
Operating and maintaining HVAC systems.
Ensuring the upkeep of building support, safety, and security equipment.
Managing inventory of spare parts and tools.
Responding to building emergencies.
Maintaining records related to emergency procedures, mechanical operations, and environmental compliance.
Monitoring budget spreadsheets and interpreting financial data.
Assisting the Chief Engineer in coordinating projects and maintenance tasks for the engineering team.
