Role Overview
The Assistant Financial Controller will oversee the Accounting department at CloudFactory, managing daily accounting functions alongside periodic closing, reconciliation, and statutory filings. This position will be responsible for financial records in the USA, UK, and Germany, while also coordinating with our accounting teams in Nepal and Kenya to ensure timely and precise financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise global Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions while recommending process improvements and maintaining updated documentation.
- Handle payroll processing for both the US (using Rippling) and UK (using Payfit), collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the monthly closing processes for all three locations, taking full responsibility for Profit and Loss (PL) reviews and Balance Sheet reconciliations, including monthly reporting on flux analysis and consolidation reporting.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash forecasting and banking requirements; oversee bank accounts and liaise with banking institutions to resolve any issues.
- Communicate with HMRC regarding VAT and PAYE, working closely with our tax consultants and managing periodic VAT filings.
- Drive process transformation initiatives and train the wider team to implement these improvements.
- Lead the annual group audit in collaboration with local teams in Germany, Nepal, and Kenya.
- Support regular queries from the operational business as needed.
- Perform other finance and accounting tasks as assigned to adapt to changing business needs and departmental goals.
