We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance to assume a pivotal leadership position within our Rail business. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the safety and systems assurance strategies across intricate rail and metro programs, collaborating with some of the industry's most seasoned rail professionals.
Based in Sydney, you will be a vital part of a highly collaborative national rail team dedicated to executing significant transport infrastructure projects that are redefining mobility across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and enhance the Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance capabilities within AECOM's NSW/ACT Rail team.
Provide technical leadership on major rail and metro programs, facilitating the delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects.
Develop and execute safety assurance strategies, encompassing hazard identification, risk assessment, and ALARP/SFAIRP demonstrations.
Oversee the creation of safety cases, hazard logs, and risk registers, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.
Utilize strong systems thinking to capture, verify, and validate system safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct and direct RAM and safety analyses to underpin robust safety narratives and project assurance results.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance on systems engineering and safety assurance frameworks.
Promote business growth through technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to strategic pursuits.
