RequirementsB. S. or M. S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree.2+ years of experience in PCB/hardware design. A passion for hardware development, particularly in fast-paced and hands-on environments. Proven ability to design, build, and test hardware from the ground up. Strong skills in analog/mixed-signal circuit design. Experience debugging circuits with embedded software, from oscilloscope to firmware. Bonus QualificationsExperience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, and various communication protocols (RS-485, SPI, Ethernet, I2C). Proficiency in C programming and relevant software tools.

Avionics Engineer

As an Avionics Engineer at Astranis, you will play a pivotal role in designing the flight hardware that forms the core of our satellite's internal communication, power distribution, sensor aggregation, and flight computer systems. You will take full ownership of the lifecycle of your hardware designs and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions that push the boundaries of satellite technology.

  • Design circuits and PCBs for various spacecraft subsystems.
  • Characterize, test, and validate hardware systems across the spacecraft.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to architect, design, and execute satellite avionics.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates for our rapidly-growing team.
