Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:A genuine passion for assisting children with autism. Demonstrated patience and compassion, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, as well as a Tuberculosis test (if not completed in the past year). Ability to pass a pre-employment background check. Physical capability to perform tasks such as sitting, squatting, bending, and lifting. Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.

Join our dedicated team at Centria Autism as a Behavior Technician and be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of children with autism. In this rewarding position, you will engage with children on a one-on-one basis, implementing personalized behavior intervention plans guided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your role will involve utilizing evidence-based strategies to enhance communication, social skills, and daily living abilities while minimizing challenging behaviors. We seek individuals who are not only passionate about supporting children with autism but also possess patience, compassion, and strong teamwork skills.

Comprehensive training will be provided, ensuring you are fully equipped to make a significant impact, even if you currently lack experience. This role requires physical activity, as you will be actively involved with clients, requiring you to be comfortable with standing, walking, and lifting children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
