- Set up, adjust, and run various auxiliary binding machines, including those with multiple cutting heads and control systems (e.g., inkjet and mailing devices, case making & decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding/gluing machines).
- Configure automatic bindery machines with multifunctional capabilities (such as power paper cutters, collators, folders, and speed binders), which can be electromechanically integrated with other devices to create a comprehensive bindery and finishing unit that processes printed materials into final products like books, catalogs, manuals, directories, and magazines.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment to ensure operational integrity.
- May operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) that handle multiple interconnected processing stations, receiving collated sheets or signatures and performing functions such as vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, and stacking completed products.
- Adjust settings to synchronize various workstations on a single machine effectively.
- Lead the production crew through all stages of the workflow.
- Oversee quality control, output, and productivity metrics.
- This position requires the ability to exert force occasionally (up to 50 lbs) and frequently (10-25 lbs), along with constant minimal force for object movement.
- Responsible for onboarding and mentoring new and existing team members as necessary.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Shift Hours: 7 AM to 3 PM.
