Key Responsibilities of the Behavior Technician: Deliver direct client care in both individual and group settings, utilizing a mix of intensive teaching and natural environment training. Implement prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and reduction strategies as outlined in individualized treatment plans from BCBAs. Accurately collect, document, and analyze data on observable behaviors of clients. Support parent and caregiver training in alignment with each client’s treatment and behavior protocols. Ensure timely completion of documentation according to established procedures. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as directed by BCBAs. Adhere to safe and appropriate procedures while working with clients, reporting any critical incidents or safety concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapeutic environment. Assist BCBAs in preparing client materials and conducting behavior assessments.

Role Overview: Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Registered Behavior Technicians at Life Skills Autism Academy work directly with children, following individualized, one-on-one treatment plans developed by experienced clinicians. These plans break down daily tasks into manageable steps, supporting progress in communication, daily living, and social skills. The goal is to help children build confidence and independence, both at home and in the community.

Schedule and Location

  • Full-time position
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Work is center-based in Speedway, Indiana
