Khan Academy India is focused on delivering a world-class educational experience tailored to the needs of Indian learners, supported by a robust local team and operational framework. Our mastery-based learning system allows students to grasp fundamental concepts at their own pace before tackling more advanced content. From serving fewer than 500,000 learners in 2016, we now support nearly 4 million learners monthly across our platforms, including our websites, apps, and YouTube channels. Our mission is to reach underprivileged communities by providing content in local languages and collaborating with major public school systems. Our resources are currently available in Assamese, Hindi, Hinglish, Kannada, Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi, and Punjabi.
ABOUT THE INDIA CONTENT TEAM
Our content team in India comprises talented creators who produce thousands of engaging videos, articles, and practice questions aligned with the Indian curriculum, benefiting both teachers and students. We are actively working on localizing content into additional regional languages, thereby broadening our outreach and significantly enhancing our impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are in search of a passionate Chemistry Subject Matter Expert to lead the creation of syllabus-aligned videos and practice questions, primarily designed for grades 11 and 12. This is a contract position.
Note: This role is exclusively available to citizens residing in India.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of freelancers.
- Onboarding freelancers to Khan Academy's content principles.
- Conducting quality checks for exercises and videos in Chemistry for grades 11-12 and Science for grades 6-10.
- Creating engaging videos and exercises for Chemistry at the 11th and 12th-grade levels.
- Continuously iterating and enhancing content based on received feedback.
