About the job

As a Civil Project Engineer, you will oversee daily site operations for assigned construction projects, ensuring efficient management of both labor and subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include providing technical guidance to subcontractors, technicians, and junior staff, while rigorously enforcing health and safety policies on-site.

Key duties involve reviewing and interpreting site drawings, including topographical and construction drawings, to ensure compliance with contractual specifications. You will maintain comprehensive documentation, such as site diaries and quality assurance records, and prepare detailed reports regarding project status, risks, and resource needs.

Collaboration is key; you will regularly liaise with engineers, surveyors, site administration, foremen, and subcontractors, guiding artisans to achieve project milestones. Your role also includes resolving technical queries and supervising surveyors to ensure accurate surveying data.

Additional responsibilities encompass checking plans and quantities for precision, managing contract design documents, and coordinating with local authorities to ensure adherence to construction regulations. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and their representatives, providing updates on project progress during regular meetings.
