Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. EIT certification is required. PE license preferred or in progress to obtain within 12 months.3–6 years of relevant civil engineering experience. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer to join our Kansas City, Missouri office. This position is perfect for an individual with an EIT certification who is actively pursuing or has recently obtained their Professional Engineer (PE) license. The successful candidate will have experience in design, permitting, and construction support, and be eager to assume greater responsibilities in project coordination and client relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadway enhancements, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
  • Prepare design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, site layout, grading, and stormwater modeling.
  • Support project managers with scheduling, budgeting, permitting, and agency coordination.
  • Conduct site visits and assist in construction observation and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff as necessary.
