Reporting to the Senior IT Security Manager, the Cloud Security Analyst at dyneits will focus on protecting large-scale, multi-cloud, and Kubernetes-based environments. This role is based in Dublin and centers on cloud-native and container security.
Role overview
The Cloud Security Analyst will help set and enforce security protocols, strengthen detection and response capabilities, and work closely with DevOps, Networking, and SOC teams. Integrating security across all layers of design and automation is a key part of this position.
What you will do
- Improve and streamline cloud-native security controls, including IAM, network security (WAF, VPC), and data protection tools (KMS, Vault).
- Implement and manage CSPM, CNAPP, and CWPP solutions to maintain a strong security posture across multi-cloud and Kubernetes environments.
- Integrate cloud telemetry (such as GCP Audit Logs, AWS CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, Kubernetes audit logs) into SIEM/SOAR platforms for unified visibility.
- Design and enforce cloud security architecture and guardrails based on Zero Trust and Least Privilege principles.
- Develop and maintain Security-as-Code practices using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep, including policy-as-code frameworks.
- Oversee and enhance the security of containerized environments (GKE, AKS, EKS), focusing on image, registry, and runtime protection.
- Strengthen Kubernetes clusters with RBAC, NetworkPolicies, Admission Controllers, and secure configurations.
- Lead cloud security incident response activities, including triage, containment, and forensic analysis.
- Monitor and assess new threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors in cloud-native ecosystems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Cloud Security experience.
- Minimum of 2 years working with Kubernetes or container security.
- Direct experience with at least two major cloud platforms (GCP and Azure preferred; AWS or OCI a plus).
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes security controls, including RBAC, Secrets, Ingress, and TLS.
- Familiarity with container runtime security and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred; Bash or Go is a plus).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation practices.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks.
