Role overview
The Cloud Security Engineer will take the lead on securing BRINC’s AWS environment and corporate systems. This position is ideal for an individual contributor who enjoys building and scaling security practices. As BRINC’s primary security specialist, the engineer will use AWS tools for active threat detection, enhance SOC 2 compliance, and develop security policies. The role involves close collaboration with IT Support, Network Engineering, and Engineering leadership.
What you will do
- Evaluate AWS security, including IAM configurations, S3 bucket policies, VPC security group settings, and exposed endpoints.
- Improve threat detection by optimizing GuardDuty.
- Secure identity and access management across AWS.
- Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) measures in Google Workspace.
- Develop and update data protection policies.
- Support and advance the SOC 2 compliance program.
- Work closely with IT Support, Network Engineering, and Engineering leadership teams.
