Role overview
The Contingent Frontend Vue.js Developer will focus on building and integrating a custom application with multiple client systems. This position emphasizes frontend development using Vue.js to deliver solutions for federal clients. Some assignments may involve handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and following compliance requirements.
What you will do
- Work as part of an Agile team
- Develop and maintain custom web applications in a microservices environment
- Concentrate on frontend tasks, with occasional backend support
- Apply accessibility standards throughout the development process
- Collaborate closely with team members
- Manage multiple assignments at once
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to address changing client needs
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience in custom web application development
- At least 3 years working with Vue.js (version 3 or higher)
- 5+ years in full-stack development, with strong knowledge of UI frameworks and backend architecture
- Bachelor's degree or 2 additional years of relevant experience in place of a degree
- Proficient in JavaScript and CSS
- Experience developing and consuming FastAPI and/or RESTful web services
- Solid understanding of Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills in open-source environments
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) practices
- Understanding of mobile-friendly web application design
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards
- Strong analytical, collaborative, and communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience supporting federal government projects
- Knowledge of Vite, Quasar, or Pinia frameworks
