Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field. Over 5 years of finance experience in the manufacturing industry, including a minimum of 2 years in cost accounting or cost control. Proficient in Excel and other financial tools, with the ability to independently develop cost calculation and financial analysis templates. Highly data-sensitive with strong analytical and logical reasoning skills. A collaborative team player capable of cross-departmental communication and independently driving tasks to completion. Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work under pressure. Fluent in English, with strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Join Continental AG as a Controller in our Shanghai office, where you will oversee comprehensive financial management and reporting duties. Your expertise will ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual closing of accounts, while you independently prepare essential financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to meet both internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Manage full-set bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and punctuality in monthly and year-end closing.
  • Independently prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements that comply with internal and external reporting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Oversee cost collection, allocation, and accounting, ensuring timely completion of cost settlements.
  • Establish and maintain a standard cost system, performing regular variance analysis (volume, price, efficiency).
  • Calculate and uphold transfer pricing to support group tax compliance requirements.
  • Manage inventory valuation, lead inventory counting initiatives, supervise execution, and compile inventory reports.
  • Conduct operational data analysis, prepare management reports, and support data requests from business units and the group.
  • Ensure timely data entry into the group financial reporting system.
  • Manage intercompany cost allocations, including expense summaries, report preparation, communication, and reconciliation.
  • Assist with the closing of the group income tax system, leading tax final settlements and tax audits.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle management of fixed assets and construction in progress, including asset transfers, cost recognition, and depreciation.
  • Lead fixed asset counts to ensure alignment between records and physical assets.
  • Participate in internal control processes such as investment and procurement approvals, managing signature authority.
  • Assist the finance manager in developing local financial KPIs to enhance business performance.
  • Lead or support ERP/financial system integrations, maintenance, and optimization to ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, serving as the main point of contact for auditors and facilitating the audit process.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the finance manager.
