As a Data Scientist specializing in experimentation, you will be an integral part of our Growth & Marketing department. Collaborating closely with the Head of Growth, you will spearhead our experimentation practices and analyses, working alongside product managers, marketing teams, designers, and engineers. Your efforts will empower Polarsteps to make informed, data-driven decisions at scale.
With over 20 million users and outstanding app store ratings of 4.8 and 4.7, along with features in several Google and Apple showcases, our journey thus far has been impressive. However, we are even more enthusiastic about the future, and you will play a pivotal role in steering Polarsteps toward reaching over 100 million users globally.
Your Daily Responsibilities
Here’s what your day-to-day at Polarsteps will entail.
Collaborate with product, growth, and marketing teams to convert business inquiries into meticulously designed experiments with clear success metrics.
Design, execute, and analyze experiments within product and marketing domains to facilitate data-informed decisions at scale for Polarsteps.
Enhance our experimentation methodologies by introducing advanced techniques (such as SPRT and stratified sampling) to accelerate learning and increase confidence in our deployments.
Develop and sustain the statistical frameworks and tools that underpin our experimentation processes, including sample size calculators and automated analysis pipelines.
Communicate experiment results and strategic insights to senior stakeholders, transforming statistical data into actionable recommendations.
Your Skill Set
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in data science and experimentation.
Proven experience working with B2C native mobile applications.
Proficiency in SQL, familiarity with Python, and knowledge of cloud data environments (like AWS, Clickhouse, etc.).
Practical experience in developing and scaling experimentation practices, collaborating with product managers or marketing teams.
