Position: Development Engineering Technician

The Development Engineering Technician at Redwood Materials plays a crucial role in supporting research and pilot-scale operations. This position involves executing laboratory and manufacturing experiments that contribute to the advancement of new equipment, process flowsheets, and sustainable products. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining laboratory and pilot equipment, preparing chemical solutions, conducting wet-chemistry bench experiments, handling powders, and performing mechanical analyses. The technician will monitor and troubleshoot experiments in both laboratory and high-volume production settings while assisting in the development and validation of new metrology systems. Success in this role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical laboratory experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to adhere to detailed technical procedures in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is well-organized, technically proficient, safety-minded, and driven by a passion for sustainability and innovation.
