Key Responsibilities:Conduct visual and functional assessments of rotating equipment (motor/engine) to identify defects and areas for enhancement. Install drive units onto dynamometers, execute testing, and evaluate prototype performance to verify design assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with test engineers to develop and implement test procedures and methodologies for ensuring drive unit functionality, reliability, and durability. Work with cross-functional teams—design, reliability, and testing—to troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to design enhancements. Thoroughly document test outcomes, inspection reports, and technical observations to support informed engineering decisions. Maintain a well-organized and safe lab environment, overseeing inventory, tools, and equipment upkeep. Design, fabricate, and modify test fixtures and equipment to facilitate drive system testing and validation. Willingness to travel for testing operations in the Bay Area.

In this hands-on role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation drive systems and rotating equipment in a fast-paced lab environment. Your responsibilities will include performing detailed inspections, installing and testing drive units on dynamometers, and collaborating with engineers to validate performance, reliability, and durability. You will also tackle complex electromechanical challenges, create test fixtures, and uphold a high standard of organization and safety in the lab.
