About the job
About Us:
At Terminal Industries, we specialize in developing cutting-edge software solutions that digitize, index, and automate yard operations. Our platform harnesses state-of-the-art AI and machine learning technologies to empower warehouse operators with the insights necessary to enhance the efficiency of their critical assets, including trucks, trailers, chassis, containers, and personnel. By tackling prevalent industry challenges such as compliance issues, manual workflows, asset tracking, hidden costs, and workforce inefficiencies, we aim to establish Terminal as the essential hub for yard management, seamlessly integrating various data sources to support a wide array of vital functions.
Overview:
Joining our elite vision engineering team means contributing to an innovative engine designed to process the movement of trucks and containers in real-time. As an Edge Vision Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in unlocking the full potential of our technology by creating SaaS applications that leverage our advanced vision engine to revolutionize the logistics sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying edge-based computer vision platforms that integrate embedded Linux software, GPU inference hardware, network cameras, and comprehensive connectivity infrastructure. You will oversee the entire development cycle from prototype to production, crafting reliable edge systems on Jetson-class hardware that captures video from network cameras and supports downstream computer vision pipelines.
While this position is primarily software-focused, a robust practical understanding of hardware systems and real-world deployment challenges is essential. Your responsibilities will encompass embedded Linux development, device provisioning, networking integration, as well as power and thermal management considerations. Collaboration with engineering and site implementation teams will be key as you work on early prototypes and deployment-ready systems.
