About the job
At Archer, we are pioneering the future of aviation with our all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, designed to enhance sustainable air mobility. Our innovative engineering team is dedicated to creating an aircraft that accommodates four passengers with minimal noise pollution.
We believe that tackling complex challenges requires a diverse team, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that values and celebrates our unique perspectives. Join us in our mission to revolutionize air travel.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Analysis Engineer, you will play a critical role in the analysis of circuits within Archer's high voltage battery management system. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and reliability of our innovative aircraft.
- Conduct thorough circuit schematic analyses, collaborating with safety engineers to identify potential single-point failures.
- Evaluate the system-level implications of individual component failures within printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
- Aggregate power consumption data of the BMS PCBAs across various operational modes and correlate findings with laboratory tests.
- Perform worst-case accuracy analyses on measurement circuits.
- Utilize circuit simulation tools to model and analyze hardware circuits to support accuracy evaluations.
- Employ software for automated circuit analysis to facilitate schematic-level Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs).
- Assess the system-level impacts of single-event upsets and latch-ups.
- Collaborate with reliability engineers to understand electrical operating conditions and determine failure rates.
- Carry out electrical stress analyses and component derating evaluations for individual components.
- Work closely with design engineers to ensure BMS hardware meets Archer's stringent safety, accuracy, and reliability standards.
