Nuclear experience is welcome but not essential. We value candidates who have experience in highly regulated environments, as your skills are likely to be highly transferable. Required qualifications include: A degree in Electrical Engineering; chartered status is preferred Proven experience in creating technical documentation such as system design manuals Familiarity with electrical or integrated security systems within industrial settings Exposure to systems like CCTV, access control, or IP networks Background working on operational plants or complex industrial sites Proficiency in managing technical documentation and engineering deliverables Knowledge of safety classification principles and associated practices.

In this pivotal position, you will play a critical role in the design and documentation of essential nuclear security systems. Your primary responsibilities will involve creating and maintaining detailed system design manuals for complex integrated systems. Collaborate with your future team to ensure commissioning readiness and comprehensive system documentation throughout the broader project.
Responsibilities include:
Crafting and updating System Design Manuals for nuclear security systems
Defining instrumentation and control functional requirements in line with safety inputs
Implementing EPR engineering rules for I&C platform allocations and logic
Collaborating with layout, CAD, and building teams to harmonize system designs
Conducting peer reviews of I&C documentation generated by engineering colleagues
Assisting commissioning teams with technical documentation and system inputs
Contributing to system logic testing, HMI definition, and control system validation
Managing modifications and configuration changes across multidisciplinary teams
Ensuring quality records and documentation support ongoing system ownership.
