What we’re looking for:

Nexamp is in search of an Electrical Performance Engineer who will serve as a key technical contributor, focused on enhancing the reliability, availability, and efficiency of our extensive portfolio of distributed and utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) assets, which currently exceed 2 GW in management and construction. In this position, you will utilize advanced electrical engineering analysis to assess operating systems deployed in the field, executing root-cause failure analyses, diagnosing intricate and recurring issues across inverters, transformers, protection systems, controls, and balance-of-plant equipment. You’ll identify systemic risks, validate corrective measures, and drive data-driven recommendations aimed at minimizing downtime, preventing repeat failures, and extending asset longevity. Additionally, you will optimize control schemes and operational strategies, converting observed field behavior and performance data into enhanced settings, logic, and operational standards. Collaborating closely with Operations, Asset Management, Controls, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), you will bridge the gap between design intent and actual performance to ensure the fleet operates safely and reliably, maximizing value throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a hybrid role based in our Lawrence, MA, or Boston, MA office and will report to the Director of Performance Engineering.
