THE POSITION
As an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in our frontline emergency care team, where every moment is vital. You will manage a spectrum of cases, from minor to critical emergencies, working closely with our veterinarians and support staff to deliver exceptional, empathetic care. Your responsibilities will include triage, treatment, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while providing a calming presence for pet owners during their most challenging times. This position is ideal for those looking to apply their training, expand their skills, and support pets and their families in urgent situations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide compassionate care to every patient and their owners, ensuring they feel supported throughout the testing and treatment process.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, delivering critical nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
- Administer medications, perform monitoring, and showcase your expertise in procedures such as IV placement and blood transfusions.
- Communicate effectively with your team, fostering collaboration to develop and execute care plans.
- Be prepared to perform CPR as a certified RECOVER professional, with access to ongoing training and resources.
