Role overview

The Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician joins a collaborative team in Spring, Texas. This position supports veterinarians and credentialed technicians, offers comfort to pet owners, and builds hands-on experience during critical cases. The role is a strong fit for those working toward credentialing or considering future paths in veterinary medicine.

Main responsibilities

  • Greet and triage arriving patients to ensure timely care
  • Assist with nursing care, treatments, and diagnostics, including bloodwork, imaging, catheter placement, and oxygen support
  • Work with credentialed technicians and veterinarians to set up and monitor anesthesia and sedation
  • Manage IV fluids, blood transfusions, and medication administration
  • Participate in patient rounds to support continuity of care
  • Receive CPR training and pursue RECOVER Certified Rescuer status
  • Take on new skills and responsibilities as growth continues within VEG
