Role Overview
As a pivotal senior leader within our Infrastructure team, you will be instrumental in the growth and enhancement of Whatnot’s platform. You will manage our Platform Engineering team, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that can accommodate millions of users as we expand.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented engineers, guiding them through complex technical challenges while fostering their personal and professional development.
Craft and execute strategic roadmaps for platform engineering that align with organizational goals, ensuring scalability and enhancing developer productivity.
Prioritize enabling engineers to work efficiently and rapidly, utilizing and building on our platform services.
Engage with cross-functional teams to influence product strategies and ensure engineering solutions fulfill both business and technical requirements.
Champion best practices in software engineering, emphasizing the reduction of technical debt, enhancement of code quality, and the continual evolution of engineering methodologies.
