Qualifications

Candidate Qualifications:3 to 5 years of experience in K-12 and College/University construction sectors. Experience with DSA oversight and management of projects. A professional degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction technology, interior design, business administration) is preferred. Strong negotiation skills, capable of drafting and executing subcontract agreements. Willingness to relocate to or near Half Moon Bay. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore. Familiarity with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods. A commitment to teamwork and exceptional client service. A valid driver’s license.

At Essel Environmental, we are searching for a dedicated Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in managing mid to large-scale construction projects.

Compensation: $135,000 - $165,000 annually

As a Project Manager, you will lead multiple projects in various sectors, including:

  • Colleges and Universities
  • K-12 Construction with DSA oversight
  • Specialized sectors (OSHPD, etc.)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing plans and specifications for accuracy, preparing General Conditions, and establishing baseline schedules for subcontractors or self-performing teams.
  • Tracking project costs and managing all change management processes, RFIs, and owner pay applications.
  • Overseeing shop drawings and submittals, drafting subcontracts and purchase orders, managing subcontractor relationships, and conducting regular job site coordination meetings.
  • Managing client relationships and maintaining open lines of communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assisting in establishing a field office in the Bay Area and leading a team.
