You will focus on creating high-quality, dependable vessels by designing efficient production techniques, incorporating automation, and guaranteeing the seamless assembly of structures, electronics, and vessel systems.Responsibilities:Contribute to the design, development, analysis, and construction of Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs).Collaborate with engineering teams to execute CAD modeling, structural, mechanical, and electrical design, along with weight management for vessel optimization.Act as a liaison between engineering, drafting, and production teams to troubleshoot challenges during design and construction.Identify and address non-conformances, lead root cause analyses, and facilitate resolutions through Issue Review Boards (IRBs) and rework plans.Lead and coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring traceability, communication, implementation, and verification.Assist in the integration of autonomous navigation and control systems into vessel designs.Engage in design reviews and brainstorming sessions for new and existing vessel concepts.Support documentation, technical writing, and report preparation for internal use, regulatory bodies, and client presentations.Manage CAD models to document modifications made during vessel construction.Assist with sea trials and at-sea testing of ASVs as necessary.
