Job Summary:
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) serves as a distinguished scientific authority on gene therapy clinical programs, both investigational and approved. This role emphasizes medical excellence and collaborative strategic planning in the Eastern Territory of the U. S. The Sr MSL is integral to the medical affairs team, focusing on nurturing professional relationships with external thought leaders throughout the clinical development process, ensuring a balanced exchange of clinical and scientific insights. Additionally, this position will involve strategic development, mentorship, and leadership of nationwide initiatives, requiring candidates to demonstrate established scientific credibility and effective collaboration within a cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and cultivate robust partnerships with healthcare providers (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and academic institutions to become a trusted scientific collaborator.
- Deliver timely, tailored information and updates to enhance understanding of Orchard’s scientific and medical value, collaborating with Market Access, Government Affairs, Diagnostics, and Patient Advocacy.
- Oversee training documentation and provide updates to ensure that staff at Qualified Treatment Centers are well-informed and compliant with Orchard’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the latest Product Manual.
- Develop comprehensive territory profiles, including Centers of Excellence, key experts, newborn screening methodologies, and market access pathways to inform medical strategies in partnership with our Commercial, Diagnostic, and Patient Advocacy teams.
