About the job
Job Purpose:
As a Senior Architect Engineer (3D Designer) at SSC-HR, you will take the lead in developing exceptional 3D designs and visualizations for temporary structures, captivating scenic backgrounds, and innovative lightweight installations. You will work in close collaboration with creative, production, and technical teams to transform concepts into practical, buildable designs that are efficient to assemble and disassemble.
Key Responsibilities:
Design:
Conceptualize and create scalable 3D models for modular and demountable structures utilizing software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or 3ds Max. Ensure ergonomic, safety, and event flow considerations are integrated into your design layouts. Develop parametric components or templates for repeated use across various design modules.
Structural Logic:
Utilize your expertise in lightweight structural systems (e.g., truss systems, tension fabric, aluminum profiles, foldable paneling) to specify load-bearing configurations suitable for temporary installations. Integrate anchoring and support mechanisms into your designs to ensure on-ground feasibility.
Technical Design:
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed floor plans, elevations, exploded views, and assembly instructions. Specify appropriate materials, construction methods, and structural supports tailored for temporary and lightweight applications. Collaborate with technical teams to maintain design integrity throughout the production process.
3D Modeling:
Create accurate, to-scale 3D models incorporating full textures, lighting, and real-world materials. Employ rendering engines like V-Ray, Enscape, or Lumion to generate photo-realistic visuals that replicate physical environments and material properties. Optimize models for efficient rendering performance during presentations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments including production, project management, and procurement. Engage in project meetings to ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines, and client feedback. Assist in site inspections and setup to guarantee design accuracy and high-quality execution.
Material & Structural Knowledge:
Apply your knowledge of durable materials suitable for temporary structures (e.g., aluminum, PVC, fabrics, wood) and collaborate with fabricators to ensure that designs are practical, safe, and buildable.
Time & Project Management:
Effectively manage multiple design tasks to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery. Adapt designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders and clients while prioritizing tasks according to project timelines and critical paths.
