JOB PURPOSE:
The Post-Production Video Editing Lead is a pivotal leadership role responsible for guiding video editing operations and ensuring top-tier quality across all video content creation. This position marries strategic oversight with practical expertise, managing a talented team while driving excellence in creative output. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Lead, mentor, and oversee the editing team, while designing and executing comprehensive Learning & Development initiatives.
- Manage high-stakes production projects from concept through to final delivery, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and creative objectives.
- Compile and present detailed project reports to senior management, including updates on progress and resource allocation.
- Establish and uphold stringent quality assurance protocols for all editing stages to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Create, document, and enforce best practices for editing workflows, file management, and delivery specifications.
- Guarantee all content complies with industry standards, platform specifications, and client requirements through effective technical oversight.
- Research, assess, and suggest innovative editing tools, software, and post-production technologies to enhance creative capabilities.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving content formats across various media platforms.
- Lead the rollout of new technologies and workflows, including training and change management for the team.
- Facilitate collaborative editing processes among editors and post-production stakeholders, including colorists and sound designers.
- Optimize team assignments and resource distribution based on project demands and individual team member strengths.
- Encourage a collaborative work environment that fosters innovation, professional growth, and creative experimentation.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
