Job Overview
As a Telecom Civil Foreman, you will oversee and drive the execution of a variety of construction tasks related to cell site deployments, including fiber and coaxial cable installation, antenna mount installation, RF testing, and troubleshooting. Ideal candidates will have a robust background in cell site construction. In this role, you will closely supervise and guide the installation and testing of cell sites, lead experienced technicians, and mentor new team members while ensuring a safe and productive work environment. A strong attention to detail and a collaborative team spirit are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and delegate daily activities for the crew.
- Monitor crew performance, ensuring adherence to safety policies and company procedures.
- Interpret and execute plans, site plans, and tower drawings.
- Develop rigging plans and oversee installation and maintenance of mounts, platforms, antennas, RRU’s, TMA, and related equipment on various structures.
- Manage the installation and upkeep of coaxial and DC power/fiber optic transmission lines.
- Facilitate the installation and maintenance of microwave equipment.
- Conduct testing of both new and existing equipment, including sweep, PIM, or fiber testing.
- Oversee the installation of ice bridges, cable trays, equipment pads, racks, and platforms.
- Install underground and in-building conduits for electrical and backhaul circuits.
- Demonstrate a readiness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including snow, rain, and fluctuating temperatures.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
Physical Demands
This role requires the ability to stand, use hands for handling and manipulation, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and communicate effectively. Occasionally, you may need to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception is also necessary.
